The Key after school LEGO club is a cross-curricular standards aligned STEAM experience for students who like a challenge. Using LEGO SPIKE essential kits, teams build a wide array of objects such as helicopters, ferries, carnival rides, etc. Then, we code them to do a series of tasks from beginning (move) to challenging (move using obstacles such as color fields and gravity). Our kids leave with the ability to troubleshoot not only the build, but the technology. They also learn to work with a team to share ideas as well as learn new ones. Most importantly, they learn how to move beyond a mistake to find a solution.

The Orff Ensemble introduces our upper grade students to music through xylophones, glockenspiels, and other percussion instruments. The musical experience promotes a sense of joy through rhythm and expression. This club will form twice: once for the fall semester and once for the spring semester. A concert will be held at the conclusion of each semester.

Reading Partners is a national nonprofit that mobilizes communities to provide students with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level by fourth grade.

Safety Patrol is open to fifth graders and is a wonderful leadership opportunity. Each shift, students are assigned to a post and they monitor student safety and help when needed.

The student council helps share students' ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and the school principal. They often help raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects, helping people in need, and the school environment. Membership is determined by elections that are usually held in mid-September.
